Allsnow
One poster does not make a forum. Enough already, nobody in New England is trying to take snow away from NYC, period. I understand that, just like this one poster does not make our forum.
HoarfrostHubb
I was not saying anything about a forum. I read in here from time to time. Fun posts and I have learned a bit here You folks are having a great winter. Hope you get something out if this
PB GFI
The precip that falls for MC is mainly a mix from the front end courtesy of the NAM, almost no snow for Monmouth and less than .5 until you get to Ocean County or right at the border, it's the 18z NAM though so who knows. Im sorry I think this is probably just an honest mistake as per Nam Colts Neck Manalapan Marlboro Hour 30 - Hour 33 - 850s Minus 2- Surface is 28 - 30 That's all SNOW

IsentropicLift
The 4k NAM is nice again, and less pessimistic about the second wave. Puts NYC right on the edge of 0.50"+. 0.25"+ just to the north of Rt. 80.

PB GFI
New map http://www.e rh.noaa.gov/okx/StormTotalPrecip/StormTotalSnowFcst.png You will get you're winter storm warning for the city and the island with that. Only 6 needed to get to number 2 all time.
monmouthcounty11
Im sorry I think this is probably just an honest mistake as per Nam Colts Neck Manalapan Marlboro Hour 30 - Hour 33 - 850s Minus 2- Surface is 28 - 30 That's all SNOW The maps I saw had 850s north of all of Monmouth County for 30 and 33, regardless its not even .5 total QPF for all of Monmouth County for the duration. nyblizz44
Surprised to see they upped putnam county from 2-4 to 4-6.... This means they will go with a Winter Storm Warning for KNYC tonight if they translate this verbatim with sharp cut off to North ( WWA there)
Sey-Mour Snow
Doesn't really jive with mt holly which is mostly 2-4" north of 78 Ya not sure why they expanded the 4-6" area north they should have dropped the 2-4" area south

IsentropicLift
So is the 4k nam more accurate than other models? Well it has a higher resolution so you would think it has an advantage over the globals or the normal NAM. It tends to be overdone, but we're grasping for straws at this point anyway so why not. rossi
Ya not sure why they expanded the 4-6" area north they should have dropped the 2-4" area south Accuweather dropped NY to 3 to 6 has Monmouth up to 8 or

monmouthcounty11
I see .5 on my maps on the nam. I still like .7 here I think Mt holly goes 6 to 8 here I do as well, and we're really just nitpicking at nothing. 6-8 for all of MoCo is a good responsible call, I think.
