Heisy
There's been so many that I seem to forget a bunch,...Could someone list the events and how much Philly got? My favorite was definitely the recent KU, I stayed up all night and saw thundersnow for the first time in a long time.
DarthDoppler
My favorite was the second part of the big storm. The first part changed over to sleet/freezing drizzle after 10~12". The second part changed from freezing rain to sleet to snow. (7.5" here) That is always a much more enjoyable changeover for snow lovers. That and the fact that we were nearing 28ish inches of snow cover. The rates were pretty high there for a couple of hours.... (not as high as the part 1 but there was no sleet/zr to contend with or worry about)
KamuSnow
So far, for me, the February 13 storm. They've all been good, but there's something special about a coastal storm. The tracking and anticipation was great. The change to rain didn't do much for me, but I did stay up all night Wednesday night and saw snow from around 8 pm till 7 am Thursday morning, followed by a couple of hours of snow/sleet before the rain. I was outside shoveling snow at 4 am in 3" per hour rates with the wind starting to crank up, and 11" on the ground by 7 am. It just doesn't get much better than that for me, snow wise. As for other favorites, all of them!
iceman56
I guess the icestorm wih mandatory hard hats required to be outside. Very similar to the snowstorm at Halloween a couple years ago. Constant tree breakage sounding like artlillery fire.

Winter Wizard
Could someone list the events and how much Philly got? 12/8: 8.6" 12/10: 2.2" 12/14: 0.3" 12/17: 0.1" 1/2-3: 9" 1/21: 13.5" 1/25: 2" 1/26: 0.4" 1/28-29: 1" 2/3: 3.5" 2/9: 2.7" 2/12-14: 11.5" 2/15: 0.6" 2/18: 3" 2/26: 1.1"
White_Mtn_Wx
10"+ snow then 1"+ ice then 20"+ snow in 10 days, none of which melted. Seriously?!?!?!?
CAPE
My fav by far was 1/28....the "southern slider" that overperformed here. Ended up with 5 inches of fluffy perfection. 12 degrees and heavy snow with large perfectly formed dendrites....for those that think you cant get huge flakes when its super cold this was proof that yes indeed you can. Winter Wizard
My top three: 1. 12/8. Nothing beats surprise snow, and this was easily the biggest overperforming storm I can remember. I was only expecting to see an inch or two of snow in total, but ended up with 8.5". This was definitely the most satisfying of all the storms this winter, because this came on the heels of two awful winters where it seemed like storms would avoid my backyard like the plague. 2. 1/21: 10.5" of snow in total, which ended up being my first double digit snowfall since 1/26/11. It was a cold, powdery snow, and we didn't need to worry about temperatures, precipitation types, or dry slots, and the snow started sticking immediately once it started falling. The snow from this storm stuck around for weeks afterwards. 3. 2/12-14: With 12.5" of snow, this was my biggest storm of the season, and the rates in the early morning hours were incredible, but what prevents this from being in the top two is: the long dry slot and changeover to sleet then rain, during which there was a ton of melting, and the underperforming ULL. Although, this was the first time I've ever heard thunder during a winter storm, though unfortunately, it wasn't thundersnow. Honorable mentions: Overperforming clippers on 1/25 and 2/9, and 1/2-3 Least favorite: I didn't dislike any storms this year, though it definitely would have been 2/3 if I lived a bit further south. LVblizzard
The 2/13 storm...especially that morning. There were snowfall rates up to 6"/hr at times. I literally could not see across the street during the heaviest snow.
Absolute Humidity
1-21 is my favorite. This band sat over my house for 4 hours dumping 10" of snow during that time. Was the closest thing to 12-5-6 2003 in recent memory. It then snowed all afternoon and night totaling 14.3" IMBY with 15.8 just a few miles away. Awesome cold low teens storm. Absolute Humidity
2-13 my second fave with thunder and high winds resulting in a 5 minute power failure. If not for it tainting during the day it would have easily made # 1. 12.2 total.

MattMal88
I think 12/8 was my favorite even if it wasnt our biggest event because it was early in the season and unexpected. Plus watching that eagles game was just awesome. Close second would be 1/21 when we got deathbanded for a few hrs with 3"/hr rates. Unfortunately due to midterms I wasn't able to really enjoy the 2/13 storm as much because I couldnt stay awake for the best parts of that one. From what I read on here the overnight was great but I was in dream land it.
White_Mtn_Wx
CAPE knows I admire his quarters...and my comment was made in jest. Although it was a bit self reflective as we live in a rather secluded area and my only close neighbor has the same light. It's the only close artificial light source that continuously disturbs the night view and I've fantasized of target practice with the old .22. JCT777
January 28th? Hockeyinc is about as sunshiny and happy-going as the grim reaper. Pay him no mind. Regarding the topic here, definitely Feb 13 (Part 1) - which overperformed very nicely compared to my expectations.
CAPE
A beautiful cabin in the woods and you defile the night sky with a street light? LOL. Well, without that light its pretty much pitch black at night. Porch lights don't do the trick, and I didn't want flood lights on a log cabin. And yes, its my snow light
