Heisy
Flip to sleet for a time? For Philly and Trenton the GGEM flips to sleet for a long duration on Monday, but then flips back to heavy snow where 4-8" falls after
weatherfreeeeak
3.5 days away...Euro's next!!!!...Let's see if it follows suite with 12z or goes towards GFS and GGEM camp tonight..still won't be so sure of track until Friday night 00z b/c all the players are not on the field, but you can't ignore the consistency of the GFS and somewhat the GGEM
Rjay
Weatherbell has this as an all snow event for nyc...the 850 0c line touches the south shore of Li briefly and it does mix for a few hours in central NJ. Surface is plenty cold.
Rjay
This site does show some sleet mixing in with the snow...but you get the point.
Zir0b
looks like the trend this evening is for a more condensed and amped southern shortwave...NAVGEM just made a big jump north but its still all snow for PHL/NYC...tonight's suite definitely took a step towards the Euro though,. DIsagree. That's just slight bumps with the low track. The EURO at 12z did some wild things with the PV which the models are NOT doing tonight

Juliancolton
Looks about the same as 12z in the sky over Canada through hour 42... the PV is perhaps a bit more consolidated but heights are a smidgen higher over the US northern tier. Nothing significant I think.

Juliancolton
K. thx . Just a bit nervous abouy this run Through hour 72 it looks like the PV is flexing a bit more. I can't predict the remainder of the run, but I would expect the final solution to hold serve or nudge southward.

Juliancolton
Temps at hour 90 are identical to the 12z run in the immediate metro and into New England, a bit warmer through the Poconos. Nascent slug of precip looks a bit more generous. Disclaimer: I'm using Weatherbell graphics and I'm only discussing differences that are easy to discern by toggling between tabs.
