he waited too long..hopefully DCA took a measurement at noon-ish

I am 2 E Barcroft (aka 1.8 miles W DCA).

BUT I am at about 90' on a steep north-facing slope.  Much different than even my neighbors across the way in the sunfield.

Amazing overperforming storm. We had four inches of flurries.

True the snow is melting, but some of it is holding out on north slopes. The Glendale Slope north facing lawns should be good, as should Delaney Valley's west-northwest facing ridge, which carried an inch of snow with frozen ground yesterday.

I had tooth that was shooting real bad pain between 6am and 9am then it subsided then I slept three hours, thinking why do I care about a few flurries. Then I woke with a start at noon, looked outside then WOW WOW WOW where in the world did all that snow come from?!!!!!!!! HUGE wet snowflakes were pouring down.

I'm WAYYYYYY above climo now with 28.5 inches of snow on the season.

What a SHWEET surprise!!!

What really struck home about this weak ULL that turned out to be such an astounding surprise was that not only did the NWS miss it, so did American Weather Forums. This was a TOTAL surprise. We all believed this was just flurries, nothing to think about.

EDIT: More snow showers have moved in as of 330pm. This has more of the feel of west Maryland than of the northeastern Virginia fall line lol.
