Carvers Gap
Tnweathernut, thanks for the comments. Climo probably argues against it. But heck, I have missed you all. Good excuse to talk WX.

nrgjeff
Within 5 days and it remains alive. I still favor a moderate solution. Won't start thinking bomb unless it is there 48-72 hours out. I'd say anyone in East Tenn is playing with house money. If it craps out we just get ready to enjoy spring. Either way a late season storm is within climo. Carvers Gap
Projected -NAO...in late spring. Dang. CPC is now projecting April to be below normal for temps. On the positive side, wetter than normal. Garden is going to be suffering.

nrgjeff
A more appropriate welcome is possible earlier next week in the form of two chances of thunderstorms. However nothing impresses me on either the severe side or snow side. More basketball please...
1234snow
The 0z Nam has the very end of the storm shown above ending as snow as the low moves to the east. It doesn't show much of any accumulation though.
nrgjeff
Southwest VA Northwest NC and TRI looks like a snow ending but only after the 850 low passes. More snow? Why not? Mountains will accumulate a few inches. Sugar Mountain NC is still open for skiing this weekend!
John1122
David Aldrich just said .5 to 2 inches even in the Valley Saturday night into Sunday morning.
