Most of my yard is 12-18". 0" under pines and 3'-4'+ piles & drifts still around. All of it is glacier solid!!!

On average its about 6" in my neighborhood but as u can see its a very open and a newer sub. Not much protection from melting but areas with high coverage of trees a solid 12-16" depth still in place.

Yeah the big open farm fields are more like 6".  This past storm there were some awesome drifts off the farm fields.

Was out at Portage Lake in the Waterloo State Recreation Area yesterday/last night doing some camping. Impressive snow depth up in the hills there. A solid 8"+ on the ground and widespread areas that were knee deep. Down to almost nothing here in the snowhole of 696.

It was incredible how great yesterday felt with upper 30s and sun vs the 10 and wind I woke up to this morning. Made crawling out of the tent a bit tough to start breakfast.

Almost 50 here again in Edmonton. Was outside with no jacket and a short sleeved shirt today. Felt great.

Tropical paradise. Also, bonus points for rubbing it in a little. ;):D

Though I have to agree with the others...it was a bit raw today.

Temps looking better for part of this week... at least the highs are above freezing.

+1

Should be able to loose the rest of the snow patches by Friday. ~especially with rain coming in Tuesday night.

Near steady temp this evening.

at this point that kind of cold is. I'm being realistic tho, even in an average Winter it's May before there's any sustainable "warmth". I just remember Spring being cold last year.... 2" of snow on Mother's Day even.

The lake ice needs to break up around you, so these air masses can get modified!

Give me cold and dry in mid-January when there's snow on the ground and we can break some low temperature records.

Cold and dry at this point in the season is pretty miserable. We're losing what remaining snowpack we have left here, any sun will get some melting going, even when its far below normal outside. Snow just can't compete with sun angle at this point.

As a side note, one reason I enjoy this time of year is that we are gaining daylight at a rate of about 3 minutes a day. Of course we will continue to gain daylight until summer solstice, but this is the time of year where we gain daylight the fastest (highest rate of change).
