Radioman
LOT NOW ONTO THE BAD NEWS. ITS LIKELY THAT THE TASTE OF SPRING ON MONDAYWILL UNFORTUNATELY BE SHORT-LIVED IN AS THE UPPER PATTERN WILL YETAGAIN AMPLIFY AND FAVOR STRONG RIDGING ALONG THE WEST COAST ANDCARVING OUT A DEEP TROUGH IN EASTERN NOAM. MUCH COLDER AIR WILLSTART TO MOVE BACK IN STARTING MONDAY NIGHT...WITH GUIDANCEDIFFERING ON TIMING. ALSO THERE IS NOW FAIRLY DECENT OPERATIONAL ANDGEFS ENSEMBLE MEAN AGREEMENT IN A STRONGER SYSTEM MOVING SOMEWHEREOVER THE REGION AS THE COLDER AIR MOVES BACK IN. PRECIP COULD STARTAS EARLY AS MONDAY NIGHT BASED ON FASTER OPERATIONAL AND ENSEMBLEGUIDANCE AND POSSIBLY LINGERING INTO WEDNESDAY AS PER THE SLOWERGUIDANCE. TRACK WILL DETERMINE WHETHER WE SEE MUCH PRECIP AT ALL ANDALSO IF WE DO WHETHER ITS PRIMARILY RAIN OR A RAIN TO SNOW SETUP.THUS ITS WAY TOO EARLY FOR DETAILS...BUT THIS PERIOD WILL BE ONE TOWATCH. THE AFOREMENTIONED UPPER PATTERN THEN LOOKS TO LINGER BEYONDDAY 7...KEEPING COLDER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS FOR MID MARCH LOCKEDIN OVERALL. WE JUST CANT SEEM TO SHAKE THE NEVER ENDING WINTER OF2013-14 IT SEEMS.

michsnowfreak
March sun blazing today. Mid-20s feels balmy. Snow hasnt budged in the shade, but some melting/compacting has occurred in the sun. Having depth go down from 15" to 14" today.
snowstormcanuck
18z GFS is ridiculously snowy in the extended. Already have about 7" down at YYZ for the month. Wouldn't surprise me if this is one of those rare seasons where March ends up being the snowiest month.

Ottawa Blizzard
Memories of childhood, before weather models and tracking. Best surprise I can remember is the December 31,1996 one. Woke up to deep snow. Totally unexpected.

Ottawa Blizzard
Awful... JB, for the past two days has been mentioning similarities, and showing maps to back up his point, to the set-up in March 1993. He said in his video that he's not calling for a storm of the magnitude of the Superstorm, simply that the dynamics which led to a Big Dog event that month will exist next week. In other words, he says someone is going to get a big storm next week.
