GD0815
I could still envision a course alteration which would either swing PHL to mainly rain or mainly miss south and east. Of course, although I think the south and east is less likely. We still have some wiggle room on that.

iceman56
Isn't someone going to bring up 3/31-4/1/97 or 4/6-7/82 when it snowed and accumulated just fine all day long? Oops, I just did. Frozen ground and temps in the 20's will greatly mitigate sun angle, especially in the opening days of March. And just my .02, I think the 6-hour rule for snow measurement was better/more accurate for long duration storms just like this.

Those were both short, quick hitters with heavy snowfall during the day. This may not be.

Heisy
The confluence is a tad farther N so this run will be warmer, don't panic though, just shows how volatile this is.

famartin
The Euro has no snow for Philly (even if some maps show otherwise). The precip is already off the coast before the temps cool enough.
Heisy
No worries, the ULL in Canada ticked North so the High didn't get in here fast enough....it could easily tick way farther South as well...

Heisy
Its not as bad as it looks, A lot of the GFS ensembles did show this scenario, but its close, we won't know either way for a while, onto the ennsembles.

famartin
you dont think its snowing at hr132? i was looking at SV maps. EarthSat has the 0.05" QPF line out by eastern LI for the 132-138 period. At 132 the 850 0C line is just crossing south Jersey. So, if there is any snow, its not much.
