Its the one month, in my opinion, where 'averages' are the most meaningless. An average of 50? Well that's probably equal chances of 50 degrees, 30 degrees or 70 degrees lol. If it does get this one right they will probably do some re-programming for wintertime forecasting. It was pointed out elsewhere the EURO predicted a total of 100" for NYC in the last 30 days at its full 10 day range but just a little materilized during this timeframe.
