Jebman
Euro ens not very into the late week storm. Some members bring it up the coast but vast majority slide it out to sea. Pretty close range for ens so they will typically look like the op. It could turn on a dime. Imo it's prob a low probability chance with potential temp issues and notsogreat h5 setup. Ggem is the ideal solution. We'll see how it goes The d9-10 thing has no resolution or consensus. Winter isn't done yet I don't think. This is one hell of a loooooong never ending winter! Is this really true? Could I end up with a 40 inch season?
kurtstack
Late week doesn't have a lot going for it with marginal cold and potential for easterly winds, but the way this winter is going I certainly wouldn't discount a couple inches as a possibility. 3/12 seems a long way off to even talk about, but sure looks good at this point, so why not? This winter doesn't want to quit.
Heisy
Yeah, all we can say is that there may be a threat for something 12-14th....
stormtracker
Not that it matters, but new NAM is MUCH closer to the coast
Bob Chill
Not that it matters, but new NAM is MUCH closer to the coastKinda matters a little only because it's ggem'ish. We're prob on the outside looking in but a close enough scrape could be a stats padder. Euro jumped big run over run but didn't have ensemble support for anything better than the op. Very low prob as is but it kinda wants to snow on us lately...

yoda
00z GFS has the March 13-14 snowstorm... and yes, that is snow at 252, cause I checked the sounding GEFS doesn't have the big storm per se... but seems to have some semblance of something at least weak as it is in the same time period
yoda
Days 8-10 and probably Day 11 if it existed look intriguing on tonights 00z EURO run
Random Chaos
06z GFS is still showing the 13/14 snowstorm. This is pretty good run-to-run consistency a week and a half out with three GFS runs in a row showing it.

Bob Chill
Euro ens support a d8-10 coastal. Tight on temps but signal is good for the lead. Very amplified h5 pattern but no blocking. Bust potential is high.
MDstorm
Euro ens support a d8-10 coastal. Tight on temps but signal is good for the lead. Very amplified h5 pattern but no blocking. Bust potential is high. We don't need no stinking blocking this year, Bob. We're the mid-Atlantic ----where it likes to snow. Of course, a little blocking in mid-March wouldn't hurt. Scraff
Euro ens support a d8-10 coastal. Tight on temps but signal is good for the lead. Very amplified h5 pattern but no blocking. Bust potential is high. High bust potential for better or worse, can we just score a west based -NAO for 5 minutes?

"Coming out the closet: a place for those who secretly looked for a warming trend on this morning's GFS".. I know I did... Same here..... this has been a very long winter. I want some warmth. I also want to see some greenery. It's just been too cold and grey since my dad passed.
