MJO812
A lot of moving pieces in this pattern. The models are going to have a tough time pinpointing which shortwave to focus on.
REDMK6GLI
A lot of moving pieces in this pattern. The models are going to have a tough time pinpointing which shortwave to focus on. Been like that almost the entire winter ant. One of the most difficult winters to forecast im sure for all the meteorologists, teleconnectors werent promising and here we are looking at one of our highest seasonal snowfall totals on record and cold that has been downright impressive

donsutherland1
The NAM is rain-to-snow with some accumulations per the soundings for BDR, EWR, HPN, ISP, JFK, and LGA.
SnowGoose69
The RGEM is entirely rain as of now, its not in its prime range yet but to me the boundary layer looks too warm on this and the precip too light to get any meaningful snow. Would tend to agree with this. This is some pretty strong warm air that's going to need to be pushed out of here and light precip El not help the column cool and advance the Arctic boundary faster. If we saw heavier precip I would argue that the entire setup could move along more quickly than being shown but I don't forsee such a situation as of now.
