And rapid melting just minutes after heavy snow...thats the march sun angle working......got 1.7 inches here

My snow melts in January when it's below freezing on a sunny day so this is not surprising. Snow can and will stick when we get to March but after the storm, when the sun is out, it will melt much faster than earlier in the season. This is really nothing new.

My wife says 1" in Metuchen - I'm skeptical, but that's what she says, lol - anyone else nearby (allsnow?) can confirm that?  Looks like only 1/2" here in Rahway, though, but that's from my office (too busy to get out now).

Guess I should apologize to my wife for doubting her.  Plus, when I went outside for lunch around 11:15 am, right after it had stopped snowing here in Rahway, I measured just about an inch, so the 1.3" in Edison that allsnow reported probably makes sense, as she said it snowed for a bit longer at a good clip.  Snow has melted from the streets, already (that's the March sun for ya), but is still on sidewalks and grass - for now - I assume all the new snow will be gone by sundown or earlier.
