John1122
Those are pointed at me, fortunately the sudden 2000 ft elevation rise in Eastern Scott/Western Campbell makes Campbell County the least tornado prone county in all of Tennessee. Witness Protection Program
No power flicks here in Franklin,TN, just a couple of minutes of one episode of strong but not impressive winds, pretty much just a standard thunderstorm line. The early afternoon wind gusts seemed stronger, but still weak compared to a few days ago. But that didn't stop Comcast from going out for a couple of hours, what a joke they are. Maybe 10 miles to the south and 20 to the north there were tornado warnings, but I haven't heard of any major damage. Kinda hard to when Comcast is out... John1122
I had comcast when I lived more in town briefly about 15 years ago. Sounds like they've not improved at all. My satellite is out far less than comcast ever was. dwagner88
Lost power last night for a while. I was expecting to see a high wind report from the airport, but their highest gust was only 26 mph. I definitely had gusts over 50 with the line. Schools were delayed this morning because of downed trees and no power in some areas. I can't recall another school year with this many missed or delayed days. dwagner88
Looks like this was a pretty high impact storm here: http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2014/feb/21/alert-hamilton-county-schools-are-2-hour-delay-due/
nrgjeff
NWS rated an EF-2 tornado in Fort Payne, AL with the event. I'm not surprised. Radar had a mean signature of TOR within a line. I was half asleep and only looked at reflectivity, but it was obvious. EB being slammed by straight line winds awoke me, briefly.
