StudentOfClimatology
That's one heck of an outflow boundary. Looks like LWX is warning part of it.
Bob Chill
Pretty intense little cell. Brief but intense. More wind than the previous 2 days. I'm guessing 30-35mph or so with plenty of cg.

Mrs.J
That line coming in looks to be expanding to the south. Either way looks like I am in for a decent storm.

CAPE
At this point just give me some heavy rain. Like an inch. Could seriously give a crap about hail or wind. Severe doesnt really interest me in September. Oh just noticed the updated QPF day 1 forecast from WPC bulls eyes my area with 0.75. Kiss of death. Ian
Good cape and a good front usually works for at least a good boomer but the prefrontal junk may hurt instability for the main show.
Ian
main line taking better shape west of the first batch.. could be a legit solid line tho not sure how much the others are messing with env yet.

Eskimo Joe
Second line isn't looking too shabby on the weather.cod.edu site. Environment doesn't appear to have suffered too much either. *fingers crossed*
WVclimo
Wind gust to 43 mph with the line moving through here now. Lots of thunder, lightning and heavy rain. It's been thundering here since 1:30 with storms skipping around us, but this line coalesced nicely.
WVclimo
it's been sunny and thundering here all afternoon, lol. your storm is making its way to us, and now it's been warned. I'm glad the lawn hasn't been mown because it'd just be high again after what's coming. 0.95" of rain fell. I was supposed to be mowing this afternoon, but now have to hope it dries out by tomorrow. T. August
77 after a high of 89. Temp is dropping rapidly after the rain. EDIT: wrong thread lol...
dailylurker
Very interesting radar images over the last 30 minutes, just west of DC. A slow moving outflow boundary was plowed over by a really fast boundary. Storms exploded as they interested. Could we actually have interesting weather in our area?
