wxmeddler
more hail...I don't like what looks like a tail off this storm that's coming over me! Your fine, it's all outflow. No convergence/tornado potential in these ones.
yoda
Your fine, it's all outflow. No convergence/tornado potential in these ones. Any idea why SPC introduced 2% tor risk then for us in the 0100z OTLK? Spin-ups in the line?

Subtropics
47 mph at Johnstown Airport, PA with the MCS crossing the mountains. Think it can strengthen after it crosses the mountains before it gets to the metro?

snowfan
I hope photoguy is out getting some pics of that No AA Co. cell. Here's a small lightning shot from the bedroom. Damn woods block my view of the storm.

snowfan
the northern sky. Still very intense. I feel for the airline passengers who are on flights heading south into DCA. They are far closer to the action than I would like if I were on those flights. BWI still has flights in/around the airport in the sky. I can hear them flying around. wxmeddler
Think it can strengthen after it crosses the mountains before it gets to the metro? Most likely will if it can hold together. Do or die time for it in the next hour as it battles the hills. Also want to point out "strengthen" is a relative term as we're loosing instability by the hour. wdcrob
I'm in W Springfield and we're on the northern end of the most impressive lightning storm I recall. For the last 20 minutes or so I'd guesstimate we've had something like 100+ flashes per minute. Giant paparazzi are firing away in the sky.
