* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...
  NORTHERN PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...
  NORTHWESTERN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...
  HOWARD COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...

* UNTIL 430 PM EDT

* AT 342 PM EDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS DETECTED 12 MILES WEST OF
  COLUMBIA...OR 7 MILES EAST OF DAMASCUS...AND WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST
  AT 35 MPH. THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL UP TO THE SIZE
  OF QUARTERS AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.

Decent storm in Harford County. Pea-sized hail, .5" of rain in about 15 minutes, and 21 mph winds from the NW. I estimate that the winds were in the 30-35 mph range, because my weather station isn't in the best place for winds from the NW.

 

Not a severe thunderstorm, though...

rt29 has come to a stop at rt216 in howard county, looks like they are getting rocked.

Just saw the most hail I've seen in my life! Granted I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've seen hail, so it probably isn't that impressive, but for this weenie, it was amazing. Great storm! Definitely made up for what has so far been a dud storm season.

CONTAINING THE POSSIBLE TORNADO WAS NEAR MILLINGTON...MOVING  

SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH.  

 

* THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR...  

MILLINGTON AND SUDLERSVILLE AROUND 435 PM EDT...  

HARTLY AND CLAYTON AROUND 450 PM EDT...  

CHESWOLD AROUND 500 PM EDT...
