CTP raised this concern late last night: 

 

MADE NO CHANGES TO ZR ADVY HEADLINE COVERING NEARLY ALL OF THE
CWA. HOWEVER CONCERN IS FOR MULTIPLE PTYPE SCENARIO GIVEN
COMPLEXITY OF BLYR THERMAL STRUCTURE+WET BULB EFFECTS...WITH THE
GREATEST POTNL FOR AN INITIAL PERIOD OF SNOW (MOST LKLY SLEET)
ACRS NERN 1/2 OF THE CWA...ESPECIALLY THE ENDLESS MTN/SRN POCONO
REGION NE OF THE LYCOMING VALLEY/IPT. ANTICIPATE UPDATING THE WX
GRIDS ONCE THE PCPN TYPES START TO SHOW THEIR HAND OVER THE NEXT
1-3 HRS.

Port Matilda. Went from all sleet to mixing with freezing rain yet now there's also snow mixed in again.

 

OMG, there's a couple of very serious accidents with a lot of injuries in Clearfield County.

Check out the PennDOT cam on I-80 at exit 120. Double trail jacknifed in the median.

Just insane PSU didn't at least delay this morning.  I guess it's going to take a student dying on their commute to change things.

Totally irresponsible. Roads are terrible, multiple accidents, etc. A delay would have been fine, by 10AM things should be mostly cleared off.

Yep. And the temperature has been pretty steady on the roof at around 29-30F the past 10-15 minutes, so...

I thought so. That explains why it was so off last year when we had this insane temp inversion, I think it was March. It was in the 50s but down where people actually exist it was around 40. That stuff fascinates the hell out of me.
