yak
That's just an awful graphic from the NWS. So how much for Youngstown? Let's see... Looks like 2 to 8+ but things may change on our next ambiguous forecast map. From NWS Pitt.

paweather
Not sure I could fault anyone with 4 to 8 as their guess. Actually wouldn't fault anyone right now with a guess from 0-12. :-) Model madness.
EasternUSWX
seems south of op to me A smile north actually. .5" just goes north of UNV by maybe 20 miles on ens compared to op. Not much difference.
AlexP
Looks like once again the local TV mets are going conservative and the bloggers going bonkers for HBG. WHP-TV has 4-6 WHTM has 4-8 No word from Fox 43 or WGAL yet. DT has us in the 8-14 range S&S 8-

WmsptWx
I feel that any mention of Scheisskopf und Scheisskopf should be swabbed by PennMan on the principal of their not deserving the credibility that comes with being mentioned in the forecast scoreboard with news affiliates and actual accredited weather organizations. They deserve less than ZERO mention. Anywhere. Pennlive.com and by default, the Harrisburg Patriot-News giving them credit is bad enough. Then again, maybe if they actually knew they were dealing with a convicted felon they would change their tune on associating with them and even issue a retraction of accreditation. NortheastPAWx
Pathetic...GFS went the GGEM route...you can't count on these models for s**t. From 12"+ event to <6" in 12 hours when we're within 72 hours. The models all need a serious kick in the a**.
psuhoffman
A smile north actually. .5" just goes north of UNV by maybe 20 miles on ens compared to op. Not much difference. ya but just looking at the second wave it's south. I don't care about the qpf with wave 1 because I really feel that's a non player for us. If it amps at all its rain and if its weak its low qpf. Either way the second wave is going to be the show. We need wave one weak so it doesn't push the front south behind it and supress wave 2. If u look at just wave 2 on eps it's mostly a miss to our south. The jackpot is even south of dc. That's a bad sign because I expect there a lot of high qpf rain solutions across central pa from wave 1 that skew the total qpf upward with that. I don't like the look of the eps at all. We need a north trend from wave
skiier04
Wow... I wasn't gonna put much stock in this run but that's another crazy big jump to the southern sheared out solution
CarlislePaWx
This run is simply a disgrace to US modeling. So you go from 14 inches to 4 inches in six hours? BS

NortheastPAWx
06z, 12z, 18z GFS for 12z Monday... Desktop_2.gif Horrible. This model needs to be shut off for the rest of this winter.
Santa Clause
If 0z continues the south march, that will pretty much confirm that the GGEM is the new king. Crazy the way these things shift...we were all feeling pretty comfortable with regionwide Warning/Advisory event. Good thing they held off on the watches for the time being. skiier04
Horrible. This model needs to be shut off for the rest of this winter. After something like 12 straight runs of 12"+ for most of us too Pretty crazy but that's why I've learned to never get too invested in these things, especially not days in advance!!
