jamesnichols1989
This looks like a rain/snow mix, I'm not happy with the track of the vort max right now. I need it south of LI and Cape Cod. We only got 7.5" of snow, in the range the NWS gave us on yesterday's maps. Coastal moved out faster than anticipated.
OceanStWx
12z RGEM would be a decent hit Pretty bullish on QPF for the ME coast. Would verbatim be close to warning snows. I need to dive into that forecast now, I've been putting out social media fires all morning. Folks naso happy about their forecast last night. bobbutts
looks like a quick hitting 2-4/3-6 kind of storm mostly CNE-ME at this point
dendrite
12z RGEM would be a decent hit That's the GGEM, but yeah...that would be a nice setup for us.
OceanStWx
Yeah I sort of favor that for now. You FTW! Nice pressure ridge into New England on the 280 K surface. It's short, but a pretty intense period of isentropic lift.
OceanStWx
You can see how the GFS depicts that nice ribbon of omega (yellow lines) that Scott mentioned. It's translating pretty quickly across the area, but I could see a nice refresher out of it with a 3-6 hour burst of lift.
CoastalWx
GEFS have a nice track right near the Cape.
Damage In Tolland
This could be one of those deals where it comes in like a wall of S+ from SW to NE and you rip down a very quick 4-

OceanStWx
This could be one of those deals where it comes in like a wall of S+ from SW to NE and you rip down a very quick 4-6 I mean let's not get carried away. Snow growth zone is rather elevated, so lift will favor northern areas more so than south. I don't see a great signal for widespread 1"/hr stuff right now, so it will be hard to see a lot of 4-6" verbatim. Best forcing is transient. I need to dive into that forecast now, I've been putting out social media fires all morning. Folks naso happy about their forecast last night. That's the way it goes, Folks need to understand that the qpf gradient was tight from the get go, And that eventual track is the least favorable for anything back here
dryslot
I envision this one as a 2-4" 3-5" possibly deal as some models have shown
