These rapid update models have been pretty persistent since midnight. Lets hope that stays.
Lava Rock
Should be fun later on, Commuting not so much though I've got to get home and shovel the deck off. Between today's snow and tomorrow's plus rain friday, it's gonna get heavy.

40/70 Benchmark
13z RAP says best snows eastern mass to maine coastline. Canal track. Messenger kept PMing me that this was going se, over the cape, last night.
TalcottWx
Messenger kept PMing me that this was going se, over the cape, last night. Huge differences for our hood if that comes to fruition. Puts us in the jack spot modeled north of us yesterday and moves heavy totals from maine foothills to the coast.

40/70 Benchmark
No, canal is better. Not worse. The qpf hole over us was created by the low track. Now we are in that NW wet spot. Now, don't shoot me, but you may have a 12/9/05 Boston school bus disaster today pending. Commute nightmare. Not for nne, which is who that was directed at. ORH_wxman
This looks like about a 2-4 hour burst of S/S+ for most...a bit longer up in SE NH/S ME. Shoudl come down pretty hard for a time, but duration is the big limiting factor in accumulations of more than 4-5".

Damage In Tolland
LOL..NNE is fine..SNE is fine..Nothing has really changed..A slight NE shift took the 6-8 inch amounts and shoved them up into SE NH..

OceanStWx
HRRR is in now completely, canal track. Destroys E Ma. 13z run looked more like PYM to me. Either way, dumps over an inch QPF on York county, ME.

The latest gudiance has gotten better for SE NH/S ME...and a bit worse for further west in mondanocks and ORH county and southwestward. not a huge shift, but it is there. Baroclinic Zone
Correct Will. No one is taking aaway anyone's snow. There has been a subtle shift SE with the SLP track from say TAN down to PYM. 10-15mi SE.
mattb65
Wow, HRRR, RAP keep insisting on a mega band for everyone inside of 495 and 128 from around 3pm to 5pm with 1-3"/hr rates. This could be a pretty wild afternoon here if those short range models are onto something. Can you say evening commute disaster v2 for this year? OceanStWx
Blend of the HRRR and RAP or more lean on the RAP? HRRR can be a little volatile, so it's hard to really base the forecast heavily on it. But it will definitely be part of the blend today. I think it's got a pretty good handle on things right now. ORH_wxman
I'm trying to bang the big differences this makes for people south of me in e ma... I don't think it makes a big difference. Maybe right on the water in BOS or south shore will be a tad bit colder so accumulations could be a bit higher there...but these are small changes. Anyone away from the water really isn't affected much.
