would go straight to a warning  but im pretty sure there going to go with an advisory some very lucky spots might get warning amounts just not widespread enough

Nice trends overnight. Amounts upped to 4-6..

If trends continue..possible watches for most of SNE at 4:00pm

What is an injection low?

Oh..haha. I just made it up....it's these little lows that inject a plume of moist Atlantic air into them. These lows have a nice pocket of cold air aloft so it becomes one of these features that drop heavy precip rates for a time because of instability.

Is it a mini CCB? Tip won't approve of your non-textbook term. Forky will have a conniption

I love these types of systems..they scoot out just over or south of LI and there's a great area of mod-hvy snows just to the nw. I remember a couple of these in the early 2000's.

I think 2003 had several of these. Made us build our garage/family room

Big omega smack dab in the max SGZ. Some of these runs are borderline warning criteria even up here. The NAM would be pushing double digits, but we'll toss the excessive QPF. Regardless, it looks like a quick burst of fun.

The 06z HiresNAM was comical for Southern ME.  Looked like around 12" there.
