Read the winter thread; sounds like parts of Michigan are/were having some awesome looking snow. Jealous only because, even with all our snow this season, they've rarely been the fun, gigantic cake flakes.

it was insane. While not as fun as march 4, 2008 or February 20, 2011 (those were genuine big snowstorms) I can honestly say today I have NEVER seen that much thunder with snow. Just over an inch of sloppy snow, but it was like 4-1 ratio and it was like a summer storm with nonstop thunder and lightning. Wish I could have gotten a pic of the golfball flakes. Poured rain afterward but snowpack hasnt budged.

none of you guys got video of the non-stop thundersnow?

at work...I couldn't even get a pic. by the time I was able to sneak out I tried taking a vid when it was mixing with rain so the flakes weren'tas blinding. Never even thought it was possible to have nonstop thunder and lightning with snow.....I dont think I have ever seen it anywhere. It was solid slushy snow like 3-4 to 1 ratio though, but almost 0.30" liquid fell inan hour.
