terpsnation
leesburg mentioned this.......that it keeps snowing after the band goes by. Well, the band is well to my east, and it is still snowing. Random nub question: why would the radar not pick up the snow on the back end of the band? Is there a specific reason for this? Random Chaos
NWS seems a bit confused down here - they are calling for snow overnight; rain from dawn to 8am, then snow. Trying to figure out how they came up with that based on the models I'm looking at
dailylurker
Little mini blizzard here right now. I've got the snow fog look. Very cool. Glad I stayed up. Lets get this torch over and get dumped on again.

Random Chaos
Random nub question: why would the radar not pick up the snow on the back end of the band? Is there a specific reason for this? Radar is looking up in the air. The snow's taking a fair amount of time to fall, it's below the radar beam, so radar doesn't see it. Slower storms you don't tend to notice this simply because you're almost always under something that is producing snow.

87storms
Random nub question: why would the radar not pick up the snow on the back end of the band? Is there a specific reason for this? The snow was blowing from the southeast even though the band came from the west which explains why there was a delay in ground reports versus the radar returns or at least more of a delay than normal.
