hosj III
I'd say 1-2 DC and 2-4 Baltimore is a good call.
mitchnick
pressure falls are decently south considering what we're dealing with http://weather.unisys.com/surface/sfc_con.php?image=3p&inv=0&t=cur
Ian
Dews are still super low, actually lower than earlier. That may take some time to erode. NAM hi res also has the nice band pushing through around midnight. It's way off on initial dew points around here tho.

Ian
if it thumps like the sim/rads seem to show, I don't think dp will be a problem yeah maybe not. the euro seems to have a better handle on sfc dews.. as does the HRRR. The HRRR is pretty lame though. it may not matter.. it's just quite dry at current.

I might have put the 1-3 towards Baltimore but think the map is OK .
PhineasC
I think an inch will be the high end around the area. 2 inches is a stretch.

Ian
The NAM has backed off some so I think we're OK. I might have put the 1-3 towards Baltimore but think the map is OK . Both Rap(2) and HRRR don't really do much with the first batch until it pushes east of DC and even there not a lot . If the NAM is wrong on that being potent it's a pretty weak solution. We do a lot of around 1" here in similar type of events.. I'll treat anything else as bonus. Good chance I miss the good stuff.
clskinsfan
if it thumps like the sim/rads seem to show, I don't think dp will be a problem The NAM sim radar is interesting. The first part comes through then enhances to cover the entire area. Nice 30 DBZ returns early in the morning.

SLPressure
18z GFS is a decent 1 to 2 inches for the immediate DC area. Temps look to hold for the bulk of the event. Mostly to all snow?
