When the heavy banding looked like it was going to keep back building.....oh well.

It's making a nice push now as the low starts to really wrap up.

Well you're definitely in or near the heart of it now...time's running out, but hope you enjoy it.

Cweat Messenger Winston Rollo Polar, you did make me wonder today with your comment about me posting the HRRR if it gave me snow. That was low bro. I got what was predicted, never expected more. Did totally think the RGEM was on crack. In the end fantastic storm, not a whiff and ongoing. Why you dragged me in IDK. I am happy happy happy to have 20 otg, staring at huge piles, staring at more incoming and enjoying the spoils of winter. Also enjoying the banter and back and forth and the spoils of FOOKUNG Leon baby. EPICOSITY AIFT lol

Saved.

Latest short range models...

RAP says 3-6"

HRRR is tighter and says 2-4"

No one else would be willing to risk a month and a half break in a good winter, calling out a NWS possible bust.

Storm's almost over here and not even 3", in fact I bet many in western Hillsborough didn't get 2".  I'll patiently wait until the end.

I think I will too. My point is that I hate seeing it go. I love seeing it build storm after storm even if it is a week between storms. I just hate thaws that offset that.

You better move to a far away place then. We live near 42N. It happens.

But, I think we'll have plenty of snow chances.

ha - I would love to move to Alaska but my wife would never go for it. She already struggles with living out here after moving from Southern Cali lol

Eh, it is what it is...beautiful winter night, deep pack...at least it replaced the couple of inches I lost from the rain on Wednesday night, and refreshed the tainted landscape.

I have an outside shot of catching 2010-11 for my snowiest winter on the board....figure another inch tonight, and a 5-spot on Tuesday, and I end Feb with an even 70".

I'll need a 25" March, which is possible.

I get moody, but I'm a real winter historian at heart....starting to get to that time of year when the sun gets higher, pitchers and catchers report, and I can start charting the current season's ranking in my winter annals.

Never, ever gets old....I suppose that element of my persona is why I like baseball, which lends itself to watching that stats compile; same with regard to snowfall.

its all good man. most of us are moody...I have to meditate frequently to get through the day. but last winter was the worst experienced winter of my life, and I think that changed my perception on how I look at it.... but im not gonna lie to myself and think if next winter is a dud, I wont complain lol.

This has been a winter I will certainly remember, for cold snow, as well as oddities. For all the major events we've had here, we've ended up underperforming projected amounts or verifying low end amounts pretty much each time.

But after this storm I'll be close to 60" on the year. The pure volume of measurable events had been awesome too
