The whole "this is our storm" is dumb. Mother nature does not care. I see so many emotions that come out...and I understand why since we love snow..but c'mon..lol.

This, I am not even done with this one as its still snowing here and have possibly two more in the pipeline, I was surprised by the comments from some that should know better, I have missed out on four storms 2 good ones to by only 20 miles or so, But it is what it is

Hyperbole hyperbole hyperbole

Yes I agree that whole "This is our storm" mentality is a bit psychotic.

Wait does the NAM not show an "Blizzard" for the Cape? I wasn't trying to use hyperbole in the other thread. A shift west and it could be a Blizzard for a bigger chunk of ENE.

We all got to witness NW trends first hand yesterday right up until the low was around LI

I think the box map is a good starting point, maybe even a good staying point lol.

This reminds me off the event we got like a week (maybe less) after the blizzard last year. The cape got walloped if I remember correctly, and we say 3-4 inches back here.

Snowfall distribution could be similar, with slightly higher amounts at stake

There is a pretty sharp cut off on the NW side its seems with this one, So there could be some pretty large qpf total differences in a relatively short distance

Yup.  Not a bad map at all.  SREF Plumes show a general 4-6" over SE MA as the highest totals,  2-4" out west.

wasnt there a storm last winter that put down at least a half foot in ema while those of us back here smoked cirrus?? i remember ene folks saying what a fluff bomb it was, think it happened on a sunday morning.

Yup, that's the one I just referenced. Sunday a week after the blizzard I believe. Sharp cutoff with that. Not even sure places like Worcester saw anything
