The race sucks until 25 to go, too. Restrictor plate races FTL. It's a glorified single-file parade for the first ~175 laps.

And rain... :axe:

I race short track stuff here in NC, it's sucks to watch the cup series because they're so aero dependent. The only good races of the year are martinsville and bristol. Without a doubt local short track racing is more entertaining.

Just read Roberts thoughts from today. There are a lot of " ifs" and coulds in there. But says the models are showing the cold not as cold and we have to hope a system can strengthen enough to pull the cold air down for the system coming a day or two behind. I am not encouraged by his write up today. Jmo

Radar is backbuilding and more returns are popping up in central FL and moving to the east (looks like the heaviest returns might miss Daytona Beach to the south, but we'll see).  Bah.  I'm no thunderstorm expert, though, so we'll see what happens. FL popcorn is unpredictable.  :)

I hope those new jet driers work well.

Yeah, i think the cold is going to be a real bust here south of the mtns. The forecasts have been going warmer each day for our area. TWC has no highs for us in the 40s on the ten day and only two nights below freezing (WYFF identical). We might see one more cool spell outside the mtns (upstate), but i think winter is done for us. This PV 3 looks to bring us down to only a hair below norms, a far cry from the intense cold we were hearing about. This week has been insanely warm for Feb and it is depressing me.  GSP now above average for month on temps; boooo!  :axe:  BRING BACK THE ICEAGE :shiver:

First daffodils blooming in my backyard.  Nice day today. Fired up the John Deere, hooked the cart onto it and cleaned up all the winter debris in my yard.  More snow or not, the time for some nice days among the cold is upon us.  I plan on enjoying them.  Of course I'm still looking for an opportunity to chase.  :)
