GD0815
The 19z RAP is shifting back west after going so far east on the 18z run. Thanks. hard to lock in any solution when it keeps vacillating with the intense band.
svh19044
The WPC Probabilistic Precip map is going for 6-8 for the immediate philly north and west suburbs, and it nailed the last couple storms in the 24 hour range, and 8-10 to the north and west on the fringe of the CWA. Rib
The RAP has the band more SW to NE which is a change from the more N to S on earlier runs.
bluehens
Really really hope temps cooperate here in northern DE for the 2nd batch....its probably 34-35 outside but I think 850s are still above 0 so need those to cool down.
Heisy
The RAP has the band more SW to NE which is a change from the more N to S on earlier runs. The 4km NAM and RAP have this sweet bow-like band over the area, really cool

Heisy
WOW! I'm sure the HRRR doesn't cut back because of sleet, but still, thats amazing for the city.
Rib
We have precip. type issues on the HRRR but that is +whatever falls and probably a few thunderstorms in there.

Yeah, HRRR shows like 12+ for Philly, obviously probably need to cut back for sleet, plus who knows where this super band will setup.
atownwxwatcher
We stand at 13.7 inches currently and we just been updated to 18-24 inches..This could not be right?

That matches up with their probabilistic map, so I would say that is correct.

bluehens
Based on the latest SPC hourly mesoscale analysis it looks like the 850 line is moving SE and will clear PHL before the precip arrives. Sfc temps seem to be dropping to so we may be in for a good show. I think we start in 2-3 hours. Bring it.
thedude11
Even if Philly gets more than 6" of snow tonight (despite some showing a foot), it will certainly surprise the public. Most seem prepared for 2-4" max...
noctilucent
OK, temps finally showing a little downward trend here. Up as high as 33.6....hung there for a couple hours, now in the past 20 minutes, temp is down to 33.0. Winds...out of the ESE earlier, now out of the NNE. ChescoWx
NWS focusing more N and W than Philly tonight....for most potential additional snow 19z HRRR just crushes PHL with 1.8 QPF and .6 QPF into DYL.

Heisy
The 19z RAP is also meh for PHL. S NJ does well. Do you mean 20z? 19z looked like it dropped a lot of QPF, do you say meh because of mix?

Rib
I only see the 18z HRR and the 19z RAP. The 19Z RAP simply doesn't have much qpf for PHL. There is a brief period of heavy qpf. on the 19z RAP.

GD0815
19z HRRR just crushes PHL with 1.8 QPF and .6 QPF into DYL. this cannot be right, has to include precip that has already fallen
Heisy
HRRR probably having convective issues with QPF....We'll see. I do think someone in our region is going to see 8-9" of extreme banding though
