Six inches of fresh powder in Ellicott City, Howard County as of 8:20 PM. Saw and heard thundersnow in the last hour. If I were to die, I swear I would die happy. Storm total IMBY 20" and counting.

Same here in Columbia.  Just hit 6" new snow here for a total of 20" today.  I never would have imagined we'd hit 20 for this storm!

Thanks brother! I'm getting crushed here in AA county with big time rates. Makes me feel better about getting a little shorted last night. Should get my foot after all.

Shorted is right!  8.5" last night, the last 0.5" was more of a heavy snow/sleet mix after 4:30 am.

A smidge under 3" now where I am in Crofton.  11.5" for the event...

I can't believe for a second they'd close tomorrow. The roads are fine in the city and surroundings.

Give liberal leave fine, but I need to be at work. (not a fedgov myself, but we follow)

Really hope they don't close. Dillon's bus service forgets that fed employees are not the only ones that use them and they shut down when Feds close leaving everyone else screwed over.

Sort of hard to believe you got more than the Parkton/Manchester folks...

I don't know what they got.

I measured 19" in multiple places this morning a bit after 10 am.

Since late afternoon when it turned back to snow, the intensity picked up.

Still light to moderate.  Going out to measure the new snowfall.

We are on a ridge at 760 feet asl on the north side in a forest setting 12 miles

south of the Mason-Dixon line.  So we had low boundary layer temperatures in our

favor along with enough elevation to cash in on the banding.

We are in the orangey color to the south of the "e" in Westminster.
