Swiscaster
I feel like my measurement of 12.25" yesterday might have been low. That measurement was from my driveway (several spots) yesterday morning. I just came back from Cub Run Park (right behind my house) and measured 13" consistently everywhere in full sun. And that is after 26 hours of compaction, drizzle, and meltage. Ugg. Maybe I was closer to 14" or more here.

mattskiva
Haven't been out yet. Probably plowed everywhere but snowcovered. Drove out this morning from NoVA - all plowed but US 48 was snow covered from WV state line all the way here, and very windy with a lot of drifting in places (like 2ft piles in the middle of highway). WV 93 near Mt Storm would have been impassible if I was not in a truck, 3ft drifts on road

sonickteam
I don't find BWI totals bogus, I find them incompetent for the 20+ years I've lived 2 miles north before the 09/10 winter, their totals were always pretty good compared to what I would get, usually they reported a little less than what I measured after the 12/19/09 bliz when they were chastised, they always cut it back inexplicably or are woefully too low to start I mean qpf yesterday was 1.77" and they reported only 9.6"...believe me, we did not have that much precip that was non snow as we were in the dry slot and the ratios through 2am were pretty decent all I can think of is agenda of some sort Fair enough. It was sick from 2-4am or so. I was out at 3:30am and it was dumping and we had 7". by 5am it was edging towards 10". but yeah, from 11am-4pm absolutely nothing and then it was a hard rain for a couple hours then a tiny bit of snow. Dry slotted i suppose but seems like a very small dryslot cause my totals seemed lower than those east, south, north AND west of me! 12" of snow is not as cool when most others seemed to edge closer to 20"

clskinsfan
19.75" Wow. I finally beat you in a storm out here. I had 20.9. Got 19 inches in the first 11 hours. Cleaned the board then had 1.9 the remainder of the day. We missed out on the ULL out here though. Had some reports as high as 23 out here from some friends. But we all know how that goes

yoda
Re the BWI report -- take this as you wish: Justin Berk, Meteorologist Valentine's Full Moon over Annapolis. It sure does look like they still got some snow thereThis was by the Annapolis Sailing School from the great Jason Zmuda. The was the best capture of the evening. Please help me thank him and share his work. Love this!!!*I just had a chat with NWS about them botching the snow total at BWI and kicked off an investigation. I'll explain later on... winterymix
19+8 = 26 I made a spotter report to LWX with an explanation of my measuring methodology. One of the forecasters sent me back an email stating that the 26 is completely acceptable to them because of the many 19 inch reports from the front end and he said they received numerous 9 inch reports out of northern Maryland during the cold backside. Someone let me know that Al Roker quoted the 26 and the general location this morning. Kocin knew what he was doing when he put out that map of his Monday night.
