Wow, third Blizzard Watch for Cape Cod and Islands this winter, this one will verify.  They only say 6-10", but if the NAM is right than we could get between 15-30" of snow.

Imagine this is out of abundance of caution...24 hours ago I don't know that anyone would have been calling for a foot of snow on the cape.

6-10 seems kind of low doesn't it?

Remember this one is moving pretty quick - probably 10-15 hours of moderate to heavy snow is the max for areas in the bullseye, and this is their first forecast. It's certainly possible for an area to get clocked with hour after hour of 2"+/hr snow in a storm like this but it's prudent to wait a little bit before mesoscale details on where banding is likely going to set up before chucking bigger numbers.
