ZR?

No, 33F rain.

Really hoping we make up for some of it in part 2 later, although models suggest a good chunk of that precip will be lost to rain or sleet too. Ugghh...

Roofs here are absolutely loaded with snow/ice/rain now and it wouldn't surprise me if some of them have damage after this. NAM has maybe 1" more liquid with the back part of the storm tonight for the western 1/2 of Long Island.

I briefly went back to almost all snow, too! But now it's back to sleet.

I think my round 1 final total will be somewhere between 8 and 9". Not bad at all!

Went from heavy snow to sleet/snow to snow to sleet/snow to sleet to snow to sleet/snow to sleet to sleet/snow in the last 30-45 mins

To pull off 9 to 12 inches of snow  on the coast with a retreating HP system  and SLP that's cut inside of OBX and

If we are able to  get 3 to 6 tonite and find a way to 15 from this storm with a POS NAO is IMO is real luck .

The wraparound from the EURO/HRRR looks to be pretty epic across NYC/LI Dsnow

Hopefully that works out. You can see it on radar now organizing over central NC/SC. In a good place to nail us later. But I have a feeling that unless it comes in very heavy and crashes temps quickly, we will be fighting off sleet and rain for a while.
