mikemost
Ok, there's a first time for everything... So I'll use it for the first time. It's been puking snow for the last 1.5 hours here in Morristown. Up to 7.6"

jm1220
ZR? No, 33F rain. Really hoping we make up for some of it in part 2 later, although models suggest a good chunk of that precip will be lost to rain or sleet too. Ugghh... Roofs here are absolutely loaded with snow/ice/rain now and it wouldn't surprise me if some of them have damage after this. NAM has maybe 1" more liquid with the back part of the storm tonight for the western 1/2 of Long Island.

monmouthcounty11
The rain/sleet mix continues in Lincroft, I'm not sure if we'll actually even change to plain rain here before the precip really lightens up.
Dsnowx53
Now I'm shocked...back to snow with a little sleet mixed in I briefly went back to almost all snow, too! But now it's back to sleet. I think my round 1 final total will be somewhere between 8 and 9". Not bad at all!

ILoveWinter
Flakes are again enormous on UWS, this has to be 3-4" per hour type stuff. Epic stuff here in UWS, just took a walk and was thoroughly impressed Also, very little sleet if any so far.

PB GFI
To pull off 9 to 12 inches of snow on the coast with a retreating HP system and SLP that's cut inside of OBX and If we are able to get 3 to 6 tonite and find a way to 15 from this storm with a POS NAO is IMO is real luck . JSantanaNYC
Went outside again to measure..i couldnt believe the 12 inches on top of the snowpack.. I measure on front of my home without the snowpack of last storm.. measurements..were.. 11" .. 15"...and 12"... probably cause of the wind here in NNJ Still snowing.. no mixing since it started. jm1220
The wraparound from the EURO/HRRR looks to be pretty epic across NYC/LI Dsnow Hopefully that works out. You can see it on radar now organizing over central NC/SC. In a good place to nail us later. But I have a feeling that unless it comes in very heavy and crashes temps quickly, we will be fighting off sleet and rain for a while.
Morris
NAM has won this round. GFS is a big loser and Euro is so-so. RAP and HRRR are stellar as usual.
