BxEngine
Truth be told, I would have rather have had this storm bypass this area entirely while staying cold and dry then await Saturday's storm to give us a true net profit on our snow pack. Cmon this is still an obs thread

kevbo81
we have pretty substantial urban/poor drainage flooding in forest hills, ny. standing water on corners is bordering on 2-3 feet with the heavy rains last hour. I've seen numerous lightning strikes. Austin st is covered in water, with plows rolling through, clearing out mainly water and chunks of snow... jm1220
Not as much as I though it would I had 9" of new snow today now down to 5.5"It isn't melting, it's compacting. 34 isn't high enough to melt a lot of snow. The snow from earlier this morning is still on car tops, even small amounts despite getting drenched here from 9am on. I'm personally 100 percent over this storm. Bleh where I am. Wannabehippie
I believe that I have an ice dam on the roof of my bathroom. the ceiling is leaking. Oh and continued rain outside, really beating down the snow pack. Between this and the 40 degree temps we are going to have tomorrow, I think a big chunk of the snowpack will be gone before the Saturday AM snow. SnowGoose69
LGA had 0.95 that hour, remember the 12/25/02 event is the only storm ever that gave NYC 1 inch of rain and at least 5 inches of snow in the same day....I don't think NYC will get 1 inch of rain although LGA may.
