PB GFI
if it moves east how would the band move south to north instead of east to west? your telling me it would move further away from the low as the low would be moving the other way??? This is going to run right up the TPKE , its prob not coming too far east . Im just not sure NYC doesn't get clipped good
SLAMSTORM22
Not much in the way of precip falling but i can confirm it just lightened in Toms River
BlizzardWarning
The HRRR at 0200 shows pockets of 20-30 inches new over Orange, Putnam, and a bit of Sussex on WxBell lol As much as people love the short-period models, they have a tendency to overdue amounts during snowstorms. I think 14-18 is more realistic.

beez
23 HRRR shifts west and more in line with RAP now with heaviest snows in this area being over nw nj and central nj yea,,,,that would make sense when also looking at radar trends. looks like some disappointment for coastal dwellers but heaven for the well inland people

Heavy Snow Warning
For anyone who thinks they can't get 6-10 or 12 inches overnight. I lived in Albany for 10 years. I went to bed many storms in the 90's and early 2000's up there thinking this was a bust only to wake up with a foot of new snow or more. Once I remember nearly 18" falling basically in the overnight hours. This storm is explosive.

Blizzard-on-GFS
What caused the HRRR to shift so far west in just one model run? Stormlover74
0.5"+ for most of the area, less on eastern LI, a very narrow (maybe 25 miles wide) stripe of 1-1.5" from NWNJ through the lower and mid HV. But since so much of it is convective I think some places will get .5"+ if they get a heavy thunderstorm as rain or sleet
