Well we do have a SLP to our west, so we won't drop that much. NAM is very warm, the GFS/HRRR do crash temps fast and show light snow for central NC, the precip max's are located different but will see. Some impressive returns over GA/SC I remember once back when I was in high school we had something like this come through, temp was around 40 but it started to snow hard around 8 am right after school started. Temps crashed and within 30 mins there was 2" down and snowing its ass off with big wet pancake size flakes. They cancel school at 9 and all us high school kids drive home in the snow, by the time I got home around 9:30 we had 3". By 10 or was over and we had 3.5-4" of snow as soon a it stopped the temps shot up to the low 40s again and by 12:30 it was pretty much all gone and by 2-3 it was in the low 50's and sunny. The temps aloft are falling with developing precip at the 850 and 925 level. I thought the timing was faster... by atleast a good 5 hours. Models had been showing precip starting around 4-7 am. I had put my dogs out one last time before we went to bed and about 2 minutes after I put them out, they suddenly went crazy with their barking and running around the yard. My one dog came running to the door in a panic. I felt nothing, but apparently they did because that was right about the time the earthquake supposedly happened.
