North Balti Zen
Just woke up, holy shiit. My deck is a major drift, no idea on amount will have to venture out once I get the kiddo fed. Congrats on 10" Ian! It's just gorgeous, been up since 2:30 am. Pouring snow the whole time.
3dcg
Was snowing heavy at 4:20am / temp 27.1 (probably 8" or so); within 10 minutes the pingers started and has been pretty heavy/noisy since. Temp up to 31.1 (5 miles south of BWI)
welbane
Changeover to heavy sleet in Arlington. well, that was inevitable.
arlwx
I'm pretty sure there is rain mixed. Drops are appearing on my windows where they weren't before; a lot of them. Rates are lighter at the moment and ground temps have warmed to freezing. I think we're at about 32, so it could be some half-melted sleet as well. I'm starting to see a bunch of plain raindrops on my windows too. The snowplows came thru at 5 am, but the bared pavement was re-covered by 5:30. Jebman
Moderate precipitation continues in Dale City. I have mostly snow, rimed snow, and a little sleet. The entire time since we had more sleet, the precipitation was accumulating. I am now closing in on 10 inches of snow, rimed snow and some sleet. This storm is unbelievable. It just keeps on accumulating, whether it is sleet, a mix of sleet and snow, or all snow. Whats not to like?
MDstorm
Just awoke from a brief nap------actually I nodded off in front of the radar loop. Heavy snow with occasional gusty winds. Temp slowly creeping up---24.9* now. 12 " on the ground. MDstorm

smokeybandit
They weren't kidding about the insane rates overnight. Eyeballing 8" in Odenton (which, upon checking matches a NWS obs for same). 30 degrees. Local forecast still says 4-8" total for the storm, hah.
