BTRWx
Just had an amazing 40 minute walk, NW DC near Col Heights/Petworth. Watched the band come in --- Georgia Ave. went from being pretty much wet to entirely snow covered in a matter of 3 to 4 minutes. So great. And looks like this is going to continue for hours. LWX might want to up that 4 to 8 inch total... lol I've been waiting for this for too long. lwx blew this big time

MN Transplant
This doesn't look substantively different from a couple of hours ago. What sort of a progression are you seeing in the sleet line, if any? It has moved from the south side of Richmond to the north side, but it was over an hour. Not speeding north. mattie g
1.5" in 45 min. 4" total. Had to take a measurement before the next band. Falls Church I snuck out from under that blob for about ten minutes, but I'm back under it again. 40dbz incoming, and it's 23 degrees. Surreal. grhqofb5
For what its worth, weather.com just updated Odenton to "another 6-10 inches by 7am" in red text on its forecast with 4.4 on the ground now.
