BTRWx
Interesting how some pinks seem to ride up the Potomac then blend blue again http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?num=6&delay=15&scale=1.00&noclutter=0&ID=LWX&type=N0R&lat=38.81989670&lon=-77.15171051&label=Alexandria%2C+VA&showstorms=0&showlabels=1&rainsnow=
Joshfsu123
Started to hear sleet for a minute or so, but then it passed. For the past 5 minutes, just been all moderate/heavy snow - no sound of sleet at the moment. The sleet was when the snow got really, really heavy for a brief period of time earlier. This is at Navy Yard in SE DC.

ravensrule
Is LWX drunk? Makes zero sense kept me in a warning until 5 am Friday morning but only upped it to 8-12". There is already over 7" on the ground and there will be a foot by daybreak. Then they go on to say there will be another round of heavy snow from late tomorrow afternoon through the evening. Yet still 8-12", someone there is drunk or having severe sleep depravation.

andyhb
Sleet in Mount Vernon reported to CWG on Twitter CC definitely supports that, but the line with that blob south of DC has slowed its northward progression substantially.

nj2va
In South Fairlington (~300 feet E of I-395) at majority sleet, so line is pretty damn close. Can hear it, but also starting to see the pockmarks in the snow. It literally must be 395. I'm in north fairlington and all snow still.
