EastCoast NPZ
3 AM OBS: 8.25" and pouring snow. 2.25" in the last hour. Probably my last OBS of the night, I'm getting pretty tired. Hopefully, the rates stay strong over night. Stephens City, VA
Kmlwx
Folks should enjoy and measure the snow now before it gets compacted by potential sleet coming in.

Rhode Islander in Balto
Just an amazing dump of snow in the last three hours. We should be at a foot by morning it would appear. Glad to have you on the board - nice to have another regular poster from this part of Baltimore. A foot by morning would be awesome, and its reminiscent of 2010 out there right now! I can't believe I'm still awake, but the tasty beer and epic snow has kept me up. Went out to clear the PWS of snow an hour ago.....footprints are GONE. Wow. Ice Crystal
8.5 inches of snow as measured on back deck in Ellicott City, Howard County at 3 AM. Still snowing moderately, medium size fluffy flakes. A deer and a buck were crossing my driveway when I looked out the front. Very cool.

Younar
In Del Ray Alexandria (22301) sounds pingy outside, not full on sleet and definitely solid flakes still. But I think pingers are checking out the neighborhood.

GATECH
The cc on the dual pole is spot on. Was hoping it was just the massive flake sizes, but alas sleet. Looks like an anomoulus blob, maybe a pocket of warm air. Maybe it will go away a little later....Wshcasting.

North Balti Zen
If I get banned for merely asking questions about a radar, then America is not what I thought. Thanks for the concern though, Zenman. How r u doing up there totalwise? Passing half a foot. Thinking a foot by daybreak is doable. If the band by DC works up here to after this band passes. Just thrilled.

The latest run. Has the mix entering DC within an hr, then straddling the fall line before retreating back SE.I guess we'll see. The HRRR has been great this winter. mattie g
I really wish this snow were coming down during the day so I could truly tell how hard it's coming down. As it is, I can hardly see a house that's about 150-200 yards away.
