Metsfan
GFS has a negative tilt at hour 24. This might show a weenie solution. GFS looks like it will close off in the next frame. This run will see a rapidly deepening storm. EDIT: Closed off at hr. 36. Throws back a lot of moisture.

jm1220
Wow-that would make many in SE MA unhappy though. That would be a crusher for parts of LI and a nice event all the way to NYC.

PB GFI
The RGEM and GFS are in my 4 to 6 camp . I think the Canadian was really close . The JMA was .25 to .50 Would love to have the NAM , The Euro just struggles out of the Northern Branch . But that has trended better .

jm1220
I have to think it will back down some from this unless 0z comes in much more amplified but it's good eye candy. 0.75" just about to my house, and it develops the CCB almost overhead. +SNfreak21
What the? When the 18z GFS is amped up like this its a very good sign, it nails the northern stream events, 3-6" likely to catch alot of people off guard tomorrow

Morris
Is it a relatively safe assumption that it will tick more west as early models have consistently erred east this winter?

I can't remember the last time that the GFS beat the Euro in a really amplified pattern with a bombing out low. So I am not sure what the GFS is seeing that the other models aren't. But the 0z runs tonight should really be telling. The GFS wins have generally been weaker systems that overperformed.
