Itstrainingtime
While I do think best amounts will focus on the Laurels and the south central counties immediately adjacent (up to 4-6"), I don't think we'll see a marked drop off east of the mountains like some are thinking with the low moving south of PA and in the process of deepening as it hits the coast and heads to New England. I like a general 2-3" east of the mountains in the advised areas. Great, thanks for your insight!

paxpatriot
Yep, NAM has to have forecasters re-thinking their accumulation calls for southern PA. What a crappy model on this storm--earlier today it almost had warning snows in the area, and now basically calls for flurries, lol.

Laurel Highlands Wx
Does anyone know the season snow total 2013/14 for Altoona so far?? and what the ave is? Thnx Average is 38.4. This is from 1981-2010. Altoona itself is probably higher, since the airport being south of town. Can't find anything for this year. I would have to guess between 40-50".
