CT Rain
Surface low is awfully far west... may get rain pretty far inland.
CoastalWx
You guys have to remember the srn stream rule. They always come west....well at least many times they do, maybe not always.
mahk_webstah
7-10 split here with the best snows on the GFS. Congrats BTV. Crushed. Looks like 2 screwjobs in a row. Pray for a nice burst this afternoon.
Colonel Badger
GFS et al go west and the RPM seems to be slightly east at 12z. At least the 12z is an improvement for areas east in NH this run. Now showing 12" here vs 8-10".
wxmanmitch
I think you'll do pretty well on the backside being on the west slope...the NW flow should enhance it too for you guys, what do you think?...either way, I think this storm has some fun for a lot of the region (save far SE areas) but not necessarily all in the same portions of the storm. The NW upslope could keep some upslope snows lingering here into tomorrow morning even after the deformation banding has pulled north. The 12z 4 km NAM actually has snow showers continuing here until 21z Friday. This could drop a few more inches in spots. The Greens in Vermont should not only clean up from the meso band, but also from upslope on the backside. Big, big totals for the ski areas in VT...perfect timing for school vacation week coming up. CoastalWx
Pickles that is not the point. The point is that these systems due to the nature and origin tend to tick west,,not always, but happens many times.

HIPPYVALLEY
Man--I'm pretty much reduced to 3-5 here for round 2 on the GFS, NAM is respectable, but the trend to meh is overwhelming. Congrats Rick and PF. 19.3/17 You still break double digits. Better than many.

powderfreak
Latest RAP has the band from like most of VT down through western MA and actually curls towards Tolland. It's further east than the GFS shows. Actually looks really good for all of WNE.

It looks like it gets so negatively tilted that it could almost bend NW to SE a bit...going like BTV-BDL.

I don't believe they were still supposed to be having that at this point. Slower movement?? She will likely will bust well high of their progged 14". Blue Ridge/Allegheny's ftw. MainePhotog
No no..I meant tonight when it changes back to snow..the caa comes in from the sw..NYC has already changed over Yea, I saw my mistake after I posted, then I deleted it. You are right though, points further south could be snowing, and colder, than here on the coast of Maine. I have already succumbed to the reality that this storm is not one for the Mid Coast. I will be happy with a few inches of snow, a little ice, and then the wash away with rain.
