JC-CT
I think including the first part if the sentence you truncated should clarify it a little We know what to do... Meh, the subject of the last clause, a "thread," is the discussion thread. So the next sentence, if just referring to "thread," would refer to the subject of the last clause.I get annoyed at to vs too though.
Bryan
Well, that's one way to get viewers.... Juliancolton
Spent quite a while on the internet trying to understand how a trowal works, since Forky noted that the wraparound banding for this storm is closer to a trowal than a ccb. I still don't understand, and usually I'm able to pick up most meteo concepts quickly. Does anyone know where I might find a simple explanation of what a trowal is and how it differs from/relates to conveyor belts? I don't mind slightly oversimplified info. 78Blizzard
15 here in Westwood now. NAM had 23 for this hour next door at OWD. If they can miss the surface temp by that much, perhaps they are too high also at h850 and h925. GFS had 18 for this hour, another miss on the warm side. TauntonBlizzard2013
Yeah. Our nephew is in Taunton schools. No Feb vacation for them Yup, they pulled the plug on that past year. They had been talking about doing it for years. That's like a permanent thing apparently though. Still going to school until like the 20th now with all the snowdays. I am a sophomore in college, when I was a junior at taunton high during that epic winter a few years back, we were in school until like the second to last day or June lol

mattb65
Box tweeting that Bos-providence corridor is all uncertainty, 1-2" per hour rates battling the east wind. Yup, I was just thinking that. I wouldn't be shocked to wake up to 1-2" followed by driving heavy rain, and I also wouldn't be surprised to see the snow last until around 3pm and drop 6-8" of heavy heavy tree-crushing paste. It's definitely part of what makes these sorts of storms fun. I have to drive from here to West-Roxbury, and I'm wondering if even that short distance will have a big difference in p-type. I do spend a lot of time reading NE threads, probably to a greater extent than the NY subforum. This forum seems to be more conducive to seeking and sharing quality info, and being that I'm an enthusiast and not an expert, I tend to do more seeking than sharing. It's good to know I'm welcome here as well.

I usually like to track systems unlike you who bags out early every single time like the storm is finalized 60 hrs out, which is exactly what you do every single time despite whatever you say. Every single model besides the EURO showed the CCB hit earlier today, but sure yah okay. I don't enjoy the eternal pessimism jazz.

What I do, is maintain objectivity and realism, something lost upon you of late. Same crap in the January event...you sent me links of every remote mesoscale model under the sun in an effort to convince yourself that we'd get hit. 24 hours and 1 inch later, I get texts from you lamenting how badly the event sucked. Earlier this morning, you melted down....just let go of the ccb/deformation fetish, and enjoy a nice, mod event. The models can show what ever the fu** they want. We don't get CCbs with H7s over w MA. Sorry. Period.
