nj2va
I think there is going to be a 15 min span of no posts since we will all be out in the death band Yup! It looks like the northern edge is almost to you.
vinylfreak89
Even if the orange doesn't expand much more west, I might get a tiny slice of it (southeastern Capitol Hill). Definitely in the last moments of that lull right now. don't expect the echos to move uniformly on radar... thats not how snow banding works... if you look at the general area in the larger scale radar, you can see where the band is moving
ohleary
Got there, they were closing early...got turned away. Now at Matt's awaiting the death band. Radar looking like what the models advertised...06Z to 12Z crushing.
ORH_wxman
There's probably some major instbaility in that band which is causing crazy UVVs and flakes to clump together in golfballs giving the high returns that aren't sleet:
dailylurker
That megadeath band got me gearing up for the outdoors right now. Have to be out in it. May call it the Symphony of Destruction.... I like that!

Bob Chill
It's not even a band. It's gaining real estate every new radar sweep. It may start registering on seismographs
waldo5252
It is an absolute deluge of snow again right now in central calvert county. Definitely in a nice band, coming in sideways and its started to pile up. Hard to get very accurate because it is blowing so much. But for only being under an advisory, we are doing GREAT. Constant moderate snow since 7 and 3 or 4 just ripping bands that have been amazing. This right now, has made the past 4 nights of not sleeping and model watching worth it. It is an unreal scene outside. Also, my temp is currently 25, been steady since 9.
mattie g
Measured 2.75" as of 12:45 in Burke. 1.5" in two hours. Lets see what we can do with that sick band coming in...

Kmlwx
It's not even a band. It's gaining real estate every new radar sweep. It may start registering on seismographs More of a blob than a band at this point.
