Feb 12-13 Obs for "The Storm That Wouldn't Say NO"

thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts. I think we do well tonight for sure. At least 6" on the ground by dawn should be a lock. But yeah, I do except some mixing for a time tomorrow before going back to all snow. And I agree, if we get into that deform band, we are golden for double digits.

I forgot to mention one other cool aspect. Sometimes when the storm is just about over these little finger bands develop in southern PA and rotate through producing short but intense snow burst that last 5-10 minutes. This happened here in the second Feb. blizzard in 2010.

I remember this quite vividly HS, those little bands were awesome and stretched down to the city of Baltimore even. Had som real nice kick in those, plus of course the winds made it a snowglobe.

This storm was my favorite of the three blizzards that year. We got 32 inches here. Snow depth at the end of the storm was between 50-55 inches.

Got down to 11 last night in Parkville, just west of 95.  Up to 19 currently, dp of 7, with a bit of sun shining feebly through the high clouds.

Totally OT, but I got my corgi puppy 3 years ago today, and he's never seen more than 8 inches of snow (and he LOVES snow!).  Really hoping this is "the one" for him!  There's nothing more adorable than a dog with short legs bounding through the snow! :)
