Flakes sighted in Berks Co.  By the way, the last time I remember seeing heavy snow in Birmingham and severe thunderstorms on the West Coast of Florida was during the Blizzard/Superstorm of 1993.  Not suggesting a comparison of the storms but I think it does speak to the dynamics of the storm, extent of the cold air and Gulf moisture feeding into this storm.  Radar looking good too!

East Nantmeal Township

Chester County PA

Steady snow all surfaces with new coating of snow

7.0" snow depth at start of storm

Temp 19.4

DP 15.6

Wind has shifted to NNE over past hour at 3 to 6mph

Rare to have significant snow depth before a large MECS or HECS snowstorm in this area. Have 10" depth here and next closest for me was 2010 with the back to back storms. Of course i got shafted in storm #1 that feb with 10" so probably had around 7" when the second storm that measured 16" hit. Can't recall any other instance where i had 10" already on the ground
