anyone notice how cold out it is today? we're not dealing with stale polar air here...wouldn't be surprised at all to see most places not get above freezing tomorrow, even KNYC.  might also have to consider light freezing rain/drizzle during the dryslot

This cold has been well modeled. Storm dynamics can overwhelm an existing air mass in a hurry.

it's not going to prevent a changeover to something non-snow, but surface temps might be 1-2f degrees colder, especially away from the ocean.

You are in better shape if you are away from the coast, for sure.

Winds have shifted to have an easterly component here in the city, felt it on my run this morning along the East River.

Where are we going to put this

Manhattan has barely any real snow left, though the remaining glacier is surprisingly substantial, and measures over 6" on many sidewalks. Haven't seen anything as resilient (& disruptive for pedestrians) in quite some time. That scene looks like much more snow despite the same amounts falling.

The next morning it's always like nothing has happened -- even after each of the two 10" storms this season. Perhaps tomorrow will be different.

Central Park has a ton of snow, I was running through there on Monday night.

NYC posters, look at that squall line about to hit FL. Wow!

damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located near

Hudson... and moving east at 35 mph.

* Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to

Spring Hill... Brooksville... Dade City... Zephyrhills... Bayonet
