I feel like we were in this very same situation just a few days ago... oh god lets hope for a better outcome.

Not even close, not at ONE point did we have more than 1 model showing a SECS, once we got to 96 hours o so all models showed no storm, mostly out to sea, except for the one euro hiccup run, this storm is much different and ALL the models have a storm progged. The question this time is where not if.

I was more referring to the fact that the EURO showed an absolute bomb 4-5 days out with both these storms. You are correct with the other points you made however. Personally I feel much better with this storm than I did with the last storm

Going by the Euro, it would begin within a couple of hours either side of midnight Christmas night into the 26th and continue through Sunday the 26th. The Euro does have a slow bias so chances are the storm would begin a bit earlier then what is being depicted.

What's the timing looking like right now? Is it still a late friday/early saturday start?

Holy wow-reading through the last four pages of the Euro analysis was like a coaster. You got all me all worried with it being so south initially, but then BAM, things made an amazing comeback and now we are witnessing the sexiest model run of the Euro ever. Please G-d, let this happen.

If this happens I will be happy for the next fifteen years :)

The relative slow speed of the Euro bothers me a bit. S/W timing differences are going to throw off this thing's evolution in a few of the upcoming cycles. And we also can't seen to get inside the 144hr range.

The GFS had snow potentially starting well within the 5 day range. Now we're back to day 6.

Some really gorgous runs tonight however!

Yeah, let the media hype begin.

How would they be able to resist a headline like "Christmas Blizzard"?

Anyways, a truly epic, epic run.

Although we're giddy its way too early for media hype, although if its still on the map by Wednesday 12z, then, maybe yeah full throttle. lol
