snowgeek
It's 06 and 18z runs go to 54, that said the RGEM beyond 36-42 is like the nam past 60 hours Yeah, I Know, but it's fun too look at the unpredictable and unreliable. That's why I became a high school teacher. weather.gc.ca only has 12 hour panels through 48. Any free websites with 6 hour panels through 54? PWMan
P-type was always a huge question mark with this. Why are people acting so shocked now that we're closing in and mixing appears to be a strong likelihood??

SnowMan
We have seen this before, even in past years. A suite has a westward trend only to trend back east in the last 24 to 36 hours. Could it be convective feedback cause this?

Damage In Tolland
Still folks should be feeling pretty good since the majority of mets on here feel things will slide east again as we get closer.

wxman9
I left the NYC forum to come up here because I was the only one left down there, they all saw the 4knam accum sn and then exactly 8 min later glimpsed the GFS and committed suicide. snowgeek
...We will see models shooting this thing up the Hudson river by tomorrow a.m. That's what I was thinking. Binghamptom, Syracuse FTW! Repeat VD 2007 (at least heaviest snow threat). Probably not, but wouldn't that be something. I'm still thinking a Long Island landfall.

Cold Miser
The taint is closer than it appears... In all seriousness though, I think we will see a tick east in the 0z suite. The kicker will still play a role... What is the "kicker"? Somehow I've missed that term over the years on here.
powderfreak
...We will see models shooting this thing up the Hudson river by tomorrow a.m. Tip mentioned that earlier today, lol...in a wouldn't it be funny if it got captured and pulled west so far it becomes a CNY snowstorm haha. SnowMan
What is the "kicker"? Somehow I've missed that term over the years on here. There is a shortwave out west that we are / were expecting to be a kicker and push the low east
NorEastermass128
Still folks should be feeling pretty good since the majority of mets on here feel things will slide east again as we get closer. Not sure if that's accurate? We were doing a 75/25 blend of EURO/GFS.
Typhoon Tip
GFS is closing off earlier. Yup, but not for the same reasons as the Euro, interestingly enough ... It's got a stronger v-max, more negatively tilted/stronger all around.
moneypitmike
This is going to be nothing out of the ordinary for sne. Mod snow event. Agree--like last week(?), respectable but not extraordinary. I'd put in on the mod-heavy end rather than moderate. Still pretty ordinary though. I am feeling that the 84 corridor and north of there to 40 miles does well on this. Can a brother get 75 miles?
RUNNAWAYICEBERG
Too bad confluence sucks. Gfs always plays catch up with miller As.
bmj16725
This is trending towards a moderate front-end thump and then a bunch of rain - at least it looks like plenty of snow up north for the ski trip next week. We'll see what 0z brings.

Damage In Tolland
Not sure if that's accurate? We were doing a 75/25 blend of EURO/GFS. They've all more or less posted today that they still feel (even the Euro) will slide east some.
