michsnowfreak
I cannot take credit for this pic.....but it caught my eye as one of the "most favorited" on Wunderground...and it was shot right here in Wyandotte on the river with the ice fog Feb 12th. Damn i wish I didnt work that day!
nwohweather
Thanks for adding a Toledo touch They will have their snowiest winter on record when all is said and done. By far it will since we are within an inch of it now. 72" in this city is insane, I never believed it would happen again. Dare I say this winter will put up a number that never will be broken again
Chicago WX
Need to revive this thread. A couple of photos my Mom took this evening of the snow pack in Kankakee. Last two are of a nasty monstrosity at the end of one of the streets.

Chicago WX
I was looking at some photos from last winter tonight, reminiscing and all..and thought my Mom took some stellar shots from Kankakee. The Feb 17 ones are pure rip city. What a winter. The bush in the front the house in some those photos (with the lamp post), did not survive the winter. They moved into that house in late January 1977, to give some perspective. My p's had it pulled it out of the ground this Spring, after it was clearly DOA. michsnowfreak
What amazing winter scenes. You know whats funny...every winter that first snowfall that coats the ground seems magical, just the frosting of white for the first time. But once winter gets going, if we look at pics from 2013-14, then our definition of "deep snow" from here on out will be unrealistic and unfair to Ma Nature

Right after New Years then a few days after V-Day. --- Great pics Blackrock. The picture of the Arborvitae just sticking out really show the snow depth well! Thunder Road
The expansive area of deep snow last winter was unheard of. We have pics from all over the place, and you see deep, deep snow. On Jan. 4th I drove from Philly to Valpo and didn't see bare ground once the whole way. That was just amazing.
